UPMC NORTHWEST STAFF PHYSICIANS EARN BOARD CERTIFICATION

Two UPMC Northwest staff physicians have earned board certification in their specialties.
Neurologist James McLaughlin, DO, has achieved board certification in vascular neurology (stroke care) from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. McLaughlin also is board certified in three other specialties, internal medicine, neurology, and clinical neurophysiology. He has practiced locally for 16 years.

Family practitioner William Hebda, MD, has been recertified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Hebda has been a UPMC Northwest staff physician for 12 years.

Board certification is indicative of advanced credentials in a physician’s specialty.
