UPMC NORTHWEST SLEEP CENTER MOVING TO OIL CITY CAMPUS

The UPMC Northwest Sleep Center is moving from the West Unit in Franklin to the hospital’s Oil City campus, and staff members will begin seeing patients in the new location Tuesday, Oct. 3.

The Sleep Center is on the first floor on the East Bissell Avenue side of the building, and is accessible via the Oil City campus outpatient entrance.

The four-bed Sleep Center specializes in diagnosing and treating sleep apnea and other sleep disorders. Since opening in 1999, the facility has been located at UPMC Northwest’s Franklin campus.

Teresa Bisnett is medical director of the Sleep Center, which is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). It is one of only a few sleep medicine centers in western Pennsylvania to have AASM accreditation, which recognizes that a facility is providing high-quality sleep medicine services.
