UPMC Northwest Doctor to Discuss Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma

April 7, 2006 -- "Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma: New Insights and Treatments” will be the topic for an upcoming cancer education program at UPMC Northwest.

Board certified hematologist/oncologist Nicholas Cook, MD, of the UPMC Northwest medical staff will be the speaker for the program, which is set for 6:30 pm Wednesday, April 19, in the Courtyard Conference Room.

Dr. Cook will explain what non-Hodgkins lymphoma is, risk factors and warning signs of the disease, diagnosis, and new treatments.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, UPMC Northwest, Genentech BioOncology, and Biogen Idec are sponsoring the program, which will be preceded by registration and light refreshments at 6 pm.
