UPMC NORTHWEST LISTS STAFF ACHIEVEMENTS

March 6, 2006 — Several UPMC Northwest staff members have achieved certification or recertification in their specialties.

Intermediate Unit staff nurses Dixie Johnson, RNC, and Kelly White, RNC, and ICU staff nurse Nichole Pore, RNC, have earned certification in medical/surgical nursing.

Emergency Department clinical director Beth Gaw, RN, TNCC, and staff nurses Maryalicia Barbish, RN, TNCC, Heidi Boitnott, RN, TNCC, Shirl Johnson, RN, TNCC, and Trish McDevitt, RN, TNCC, have been certified in trauma nursing.

Emergency Department nursing supervisor Mike Schleifer, RN, CEN, and staff nurses Mike Condon, RN, CEN, and Sue Williams, RN, CEN, have achieved recertification in emergency nursing. Emergency Department staff nurse Karen Schreffler, RN, CEN, has been certified in emergency nursing.

Cardiac rehab nurses Pam Steiner, RN, and Lori Albaugh, RN, have earned certification in cardiac/vascular nursing.

Medical staff coordinator Judy Lentz, CPMSM, CPCS, has been recertified as a professional in medical services management and as a provider credentialing specialist.
