UPMC NORTHWEST NAMES NURSING UNIT DIRECTOR

May 25, 2005 — UPMC Northwest has named Lynda Wimer, RN, as the hospital’s unit director of 2 North (Intermediate Care and ICU).

Mrs. Wimer has been a UPMC Northwest staff member for 19 years including the past three years as primary nursing care coordinator in telemetry, 13 years as telemetry clinical supervisor, and three years as a staff nurse. The Grove City area resident holds an associate degree in nursing from Clarion University and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Slippery Rock University.

“Lynda’s experience with Intermediate Care and the growth in scope of patient care provided has enhanced her leadership skills,” says Linda Dudjak, RN, PhD, UPMC Northwest’s vice president of patient care services. “Her leadership will be instrumental as we begin more advanced cardiac care for patients in our community.”
