NORTHWEST, VNA TO OFFER EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
April 13,
2005 UPMC Northwest and the Visiting Nurses Association
of Venango County will offer the following community education programs
and support groups beginning April 26. Unless otherwise noted, programs
are free.
- Cancer
Support Group
7 pm Tuesday, April 26, and 7 pm Tuesday, May 24, Second Presbyterian
Church, West First and Reed streets, Oil City. The American Cancer
Society’s “I Can Cope” educational series for
cancer patients will be presented on these two dates and during
the group’s three summer meetings. Information/registration:

- Heart
and Lung Club
7 pm Thursday, April 28, Seneca Place, Route 257, Seneca. A program
on allergies will be presented. Information/registration: call

- Diabetes
Management
9 am Tuesday and Thursday, May 3, 5, 10 and 12, Seneca Place,
Route 257, Seneca. Medical insurance may cover the registration

- AWAKE
Sleep Support Group
The first meeting of this newly-established group will
be at 7 pm Thursday, May 12, at Seneca Place, Route 257, Seneca.
Board certified sleep specialist Teresa
Bisnett, MD, of the UPMC Northwest staff will present a program

Support Group

Senior Driver Improvement
