UPMC NORTHWEST STAFF PHYSICIANS ELECT OFFICERS

June 28, 2004 — UPMC Northwest staff physicians have elected obstetrician/gynecologist William McGrail, MD, as medical staff president and family practitioner Peter Bendt, MD, as vice president.

Dr. McGrail will assume the presidency from pulmonologist Dixie Harris, MD, who has been president the past two years.

Dr. McGrail has been a staff physician here for 10 years and Dr. Bendt for 15 years. Both officers will serve two-year terms beginning July 1.

Also on July 1: family practitioner Randy Kreider, MD (Medicine Department chair) and surgeon Matthew Lehman, MD (Surgery Department chair) will begin the second year of their two-year terms.
