UPMC NORTHWEST NAMES IMAGING MANAGER

UPMC Northwest has named Laura Jones, BSRT(R), as manager of imaging services.
Mrs. Jones has been a UPMC Northwest staff member for 23 years, including one year as a staff radiologic technologist, 18 years as clinical coordinator of the UPMC Northwest Radiologic Technology School, four years as imaging supervisor, and the past three months as interim manager.

Mrs. Jones’ responsibilities in the new post will include managing x-ray, CT, MRI, mammography, nuclear medicine, nuclear cardiology, ultrasound, stereotactic breast biopsy and other imaging functions, and overseeing UPMC Northwest’s imaging staff.

“Laura’s vast knowledge and experience as a radiographer, educator and supervisor have prepared her well for her new leadership role,” says Doug Frankenburg, UPMC Northwest’s vice president of clinical services. “She is committed to the provision of excellent imaging services and the satisfaction of our patients.”

Following her brief term as interim manager, Mrs. Jones is “eager to continue leading a department that consistently distinguishes itself as a center of excellence,” Frankenburg said.
