HOSPITAL, UROLOGIST SET PROSTATE, INCONTINENCE SCREENINGS

UPMC Northwest and Northwest Urology-UPMC will offer a prostate cancer and incontinence screening program later this month.

The free screenings will be offered from 5 to 7 pm Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Northwest Urology-UPMC on the second floor of the Pennwood Center, 464 Allegheny Blvd. (Route 8 North), Franklin.

The prostate screenings are intended for men age 40 and older. Screenings will include an examination and a PSA blood test.

The incontinence screenings are primarily for women, but men also may participate. Screenings will include information, a questionnaire, urinalysis, and an interview to determine whether individuals could benefit from further examination and treatment.

Urologist Sergio Giancola, MD, of the UPMC Northwest medical staff will conduct the screenings.

Advance registration is required. Persons who wish to register or obtain more information are asked to call UPMC Northwest at 814-677-1463 or 1-800-422-8888.
