VNA STROKE SUPPORT GROUP SETS SUMMER PICNIC

July 12, 2007 The VNA Stroke Support Group will hold its summer picnic at 6 pm Thursday, Aug. 9, at 10 Greenwood Drive, Oil City.

Stroke Support Group members and their spouses or guests are welcome to attend. Persons are asked to make reservations by calling 676-8651.

There will be no Stroke Support Group meeting in July. The group’s next meeting will be at 7 pm Thursday, Aug. 23, at Grace United Methodist Church of Rocky Grove, 350 Front St., Franklin.

The Stroke Support Group provides education and support for stroke survivors and their families. Discussion during group meetings focuses on a variety of topics to assist men and women in dealing with concerns associated with stroke. Group leaders are internist and stroke survivor Robert Pilewski, MD, and Cammi Hidinger, RN, of the VNA staff.
