PSYCHIATRIST JOINS UPMC NORTHWEST MEDICAL STAFF March 28, 2007 — Psychiatrist Ronald McFadden, MD, is the new medical director of Behavioral Health at UPMC Northwest.
Dr. McFadden has practiced psychiatry the past six years with several western Pennsylvania health care organizations including Paoletta Psychological Services in Franklin and Mercer, Community Counseling Center of Mercer County, Clarion Psychiatric Center, Brookville Hospital, and UPMC Horizon in Mercer County. Earlier he practiced for three years in West Virginia. He has a degree in medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and completed internship and residency programs in internal medicine and psychiatry at the University of West Virginia School of Medicine in Morgantown, WV. He also has a degree in biology from Geneva College in Beaver Falls. Dr. McFadden is board certified in both internal medicine and psychiatry, and has a special interest in psychosomatic medicine.
